The Pesona Raja Ampat Festival is set to be held again from October 18-21, 2018, and will be centered at the area of Wasai, the capital of Raja Ampat regency on the Waigeo Island in West Papua.

“You will be taken to snorkeling and diving spots all across the island. Just so you know, Raja Ampat attained the title of the world’s best diving spot by CNN Travel. This is divers’ heaven,” said Tourism Minister Arief Yahya on September 21, who led Asia Pacific’s Best Tourism Ministry of 2018.

This festival offers many opportunities for tourists to explore Raja Ampat’s ocean area that houses numerous exotic marine animals, such as whales, dolphins, dugongs, turtles, and many more. Raja Ampat is also considered as the heart of the world’s coral triangle.

The Pesona Raja Ampat Festival will also exhibit numerous attractions, traditional art and cultural shows, including a traditional boat parade. The festival will also hold photography competitions in the field of journalistic and underwater photography.
